EFA Productions gGmbH

Founded in 2006 to produce the European Film Awards Ceremony for television, EFA Productions gGmbH is the in-house production company of the European Film Academy e.V. The first European Film Awards were held in 1988 and its mandate is to promote the richness and variety of European cinema. The Awards Ceremony is held on the first Saturday in December and its location alternates between Berlin and other European film capitals.

After London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Warsaw, Copenhagen and Tallinn this year’s 25th European Film Awards will be celebrated in Malta on 1 December 2012.
